HOW IT WORKS
From a food photo to an editable nutrition estimate
Snapbite uses AI to identify visible foods in a meal photo and estimate portions, calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. It is designed to give you a practical starting point for everyday food tracking.
1. Take or upload a clear photo
Use one well-lit photo that shows the whole meal. A top-down or slightly angled view usually makes individual foods and portion sizes easier to assess. If an ingredient is hidden, covered by sauce, or outside the frame, the estimate may miss it.
2. Snapbite identifies visible foods
The AI examines the image for foods and drinks that are visibly present. It creates an estimate for each item rather than treating the plate as one unchangeable total.
3. Review food names and weights
Before saving, you can correct a food name and enter the actual weight in grams. Snapbite recalculates the calories and macros as you edit. This review step is especially useful for oils, sauces, restaurant meals, mixed dishes, and portions that are hard to judge from an image.
4. Save the meal to your log
When you save, Snapbite stores the editable nutrition estimate in your meal history for that device. Original food photos are not kept after analysis.
